A shy animal, the He'e hides in the undersea holes in the lava and coral. It can change colors and squirt ink for defense when bothered. Average size is one pound but can reach 5-6 pounds. The He'e feeds mainly on crabs, shrimp, and shells.
This Aloha Wood Art rendition is created using exotic hardwoods with no paint or stain. Each color is a different type of wood. Wood burning is used for small details. The color and grain of the individual pieces of wood vary, making each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art.
